I thought it would be a nice idea to post my 2020 goals (New Years Resolutions) on my blog so I can talk about how I plan to achieve them, and also look back on them in the future!
1) Lose weight/get fit
This is one that’s definitely on my list every year, but in 2019 I was doing so well with weight loss and was so close to my goal and now I’ve basically put it all back on. I was following Slimming World and lost over 12kg (nearly two stone) and I plan to continue with it throughout the year! I’m also going to be running every other day as I think it’s so important to be active for both your physical and mental health.
2) Have a positive attitude
Having a positive attitude can completely change the way a situation turns out. I tend to think of the negative things first instead of the positives, so in 2020 I want to have a positive attitude towards everything I do!
3) Embrace the opportunities
I have so many exciting things coming up in 2020. I’ll be heading to Australia in April, volunteering in Fiji in July and starting my placement year in September! I want to take every opportunity I can get to do something amazing, whether that be some work experience, a holiday, etc! 2020 is a year to say yes more and not hold back.
4) Put myself first
This is something I worked on in 2019, and I want to continue into 2020. It’s so easy to fall into the habit of constantly saying yes to people, not taking days off when you’re sick and not having your priorities straight. I don’t want to be selfish in anyway, but I want to continue to work on myself in 2020!
These are all realistic goals for me, and I hope to look back half way through the year and be able to say that I’m doing a great job in achieving them!
